Good Morning,
I am an assistant manager At Ferguson Waterworks during the day and I have started a personalized golf tee business on the side. My Dad is part owner of a group that supplies 98% of the global golf tee market. I worked for the company for awhile, but decided to make my own way. I found that it wasn't easy to work for my Dad! I have a business administration degree with a concentration in management from UMaine. I have always wanted to start my own business and 6 months ago I realized that there is a decent market for personalized golf tees. I developed a business plan and presented it to the powers that be and became a distributor. Locally I have worked with UMaine, Husson, a number of high schools, churches, and other companies. Nationally, I work with UPS, McDonald's, The PGA, BSN, and numerous others.
It is a challenge to try and find time to get my name out there with a full-time job and my family. This first year my goal is to put some money away so I can look at different types of advertising avenues next year. I am currently working on a website. I am looking at $10-12,000 in sales this year, which exceeds my expectations. My goal is turn RD's Tees into my sole source of employment so I can have more time to spend with my wife and son.
Deb, you were a guest speaker in a class I had with Sheila Pechinski at UMaine a few years back. The class was entreupenuiership and small business. I enjoyed your visit and you gave many helpful ideas that helped our group complete our project. I also enjoy your Back to Business segments on the radio. Thank you for all you do, it is a great asset and I look forward to conversing with you.

I am a man who has many interesting talents.
I have been performed Magic for 30 plus years . now retired but still do a show now and then. Also as a Paranormal investigative for Bangor Ghost Hunters Association my background in magic helps in this field where I know smoke and mirrors helps me to identify fake ones to the real ones. Also I enjoyed searching for Gold throughout the state of Maine with my granddaughter and friends whether as a hobby or making a living there is always a good time with this interest hopefully soon will start a business from this hobby . also rock and gem collecting also throughout the state. Another good interest of my is collecting the Simpsons. these are just some of my many talents and that I don't mind sharing and educating others about these in many other hobbies.

I'm a photographer specializing in people and pet portraits and weddings. Bell Imaging & Design (www.bellphotostudio.com) has been open since January 2005. I also offer design services for any sort of printed product. Some of my current projects include a church photography directory, a wedding, and a Holiday Pet Portrait event in collaboration with Green Acres Kennel Shop on Nov. 8 from 11-6 p.m. Sign ups can be done at Green Acres! I like to make people smile.

I also work at the Bangor Daily News in Special Sections. At the BDN I'm responsible for writing, photographing and designing special advertising supplements. My team and I just won two first place awards for our special sections at the Maine Press Assn. better newspaper contest.
