Like I said, attempting! I have never done any type of blog or blogging. I hope I dont make a blog of myself! ;)

I work for our family business- well, actually I am the only one (stupid enough) to work here--my younger brother headed to California to find gold - found it at a private bank & loves the job! My father owns the company but is either in Florida on the golf course in the winter - or in Maine on the golf course in the summer. Basically its just me. Thank goodness for that since I really dont think I could work with or for any other family members. One is enough!!

I have been here a little over 21 years - I do estimates for corporate moves or local/long distance & even international moves. I am on the road quite often as I have to go into the homes of those families moving - I need to see all their "stuff" to be able to get them an accurate price. I love my job---I really enjoy meeting new people (not all of them mind you!! - like the one in Deer Isle who lived with her Pot Belly Pig, one winged Crow & two Porqupines---yes, those little critters with the needles for fur!!) and seeing the decorating flare of different families.

An estimate that usually takes about 1/2 hour typically ends up being two hours with me - I end up listening & talking about life in general with the people I meet-I have heard some wonderfully happy stories and I have heard some terribly sad stories----and everything in between.

Any how, I am trying to expand my business "sense" so my father doesnt think that my family is my #1 priority - (even though it is!) He expects work first and everything else last----which is fine ... but just not for me. I have three wonderful children & I figure if I bring my work home with me than I will either forget to do it or get an F for not doing it right---my mind once I get home is on mommy mode-----there is no in between switch -- I have work/mommy switch for daytime & mommy switch for before 8am, after 4:30 pm & weekends & major holidays---vacations too!! I figure my kids will be grown & gone before long--18 years with them vs 40 years with my job - I'll take what I can get with them at 100% when I can!!

I would love to talk/trade leads with anyone who would like to - Before, during & after people move they need realtors, mortgage lenders, resale shops, organizing companies (yep, there is one & she is great!! Sandy Imondi - sorry I didnt your persmission Sand but Im sure you dont mind!!

I've been in Maine all my life--Bangor area exclusiv. - I'd love to touch basis & talk business!!
